Silver Bay Holiday Park, Anglesey - Solar PV
Silver Bay Holiday Park, has taken a significant step towards sustainability by integrating photovoltaic (PV) panels into their holiday lodges. This innovative project, designed and managed in-house by us, aims to reduce the park's carbon footprint while providing long-term financial savings.
Each lodge is equipped with PV panels capable of generating 4 kWp of power, which translates to approximately 3,200 kWh of electricity per year. This not only helps to offset energy consumption but also aligns with the park's commitment to environmental stewardship.
The project was carefully coordinated, with us overseeing the installation and working closely with Omar, the lodge manufacturer, to ensure seamless integration. The involvement of the Distribution Network Operator (DNO) was also crucial to the project's success.
The investment in PV technology is projected to achieve a payback period of just six years, making it a financially sound decision as well as an environmentally responsible one. This initiative exemplifies how holiday parks can embrace renewable energy to enhance sustainability while offering guests an eco-friendly stay.
