Plug Me In launches collaborative round tables, leading the way in fostering vital conversation across the clean energy sector

Plug Me In co-founded this week’s inaugural Heat Pump Week

Plug Me In co-founded this week’s inaugural Heat Pump Week (23 - 29 September), in partnership with Green Media. With a track record of championing the clean energy agenda, Plug Me In and Green Media together identified a need to address challenges, foster conversations, and encourage collaboration within the clean energy sector, to drive the adoption of heat pumps and support the UK on its journey to Net Zero.

To kick-off the conversations, Plug Me In will host three roundtables for businesses and stakeholders across the clean energy sector. Each will focus on a key challenge facing the sector in the UK, addressing the pace of heat pump adoption, government targets, the issues faced by businesses and homeowners, and considering what action private business can take.

The first roundtable, held on Tuesday at 10am, is titled The strategic pathway towards mass heat pump adoption, and will see Plug Me In’s MD, Kim Ratcliffe, lead a discussion with Grainne Regan, Head of Heat at OVO Energy; TJ Root, Heat Flexibility Director at Octopus Energy; Chris Carberry, Smart Solutions Director at Scottish Power; Charlotte Lee, Chair at the Heat Pump Association; and Max Waddingham, Operations Director at Good Energy. Talking points will cover the pace of adoption in the UK, financial challenges and pioneering solutions, the importance of collaboration and partnerships, and opportunities to inform and educate consumers.
